Fortunately, that's about to change thanks to orangeblossom's excellent «Chocolate Valley» mod over on Nexus Mods which adds an entire chocolate-making system into The add-on features two new plants, five artisan machines, several ingredients, and a variety of chocolate recipes for players to craft with their new crop of beans. Better yet, each of the chocolate recipes comes with special buffs that the creator admits can be overpowered but all-in-all, this just makes the game a little more, especially for those who want to pack a treat for their next expedition down the mines.

Some of the new chocolate recipes included in «Chocolate Valley» are both decadent treats and powerful tools to enhance certain aspects of. The most obviously powerful inclusions are undoubtedly the «Hot Chocolate» variants, all of which grant the user +50 max energy and +1 to their speed, and the White and Milk Chocolate Heart which grant +2 Farming, +2 Foraging, and +10 Magnetic Radius. Each of these will last four minutes in real life, so players will need to pack a few to get through the tougher sections of Skull Cavern.
