Blizzard has announced its latest expansion for its Warcraft themed free-to-play digital collectible card game, Hearthstone. The expansion, titled Perils in Paradise, drops on July 23 and adds 145 new cards.
Perils in Paradise also introduces a new Keyword: Tourist. Each Hearthstone class gets a Legendary card with the Tourist keyword that corresponds to another class. Slotting this Tourist card into a deck will allow players to add Perils in Paradise cards from that class into the deck as well. For example, the Paladin’s Sunsapper Lynessa is a Rogue Tourist, which means Paladin players who slot Lynessa into their decks can also add the Rogue’s Perils in Paradise cards to their deck as well.
There are six Refreshing Drink spells for players in Perils of Paradise, too. Each of these spell cards comes with two refills, so players can cast the spell a total of three times.
Six special Locations will also be featured in the expansion. One example given is the Hiking Trail, which Discovers a Taunt minion. Gaining Armor will re-open the Location.
Lastly, players who log in now can claim their Marin the Manager login reward. Marin the Manager is a 7 Cost 6/6 Pirate with the Battlecry: Choose a fantastic treasure. Shuffle the other 3 into your deck.
