Overwatch 2 Season 11 Trailer Appears to Tease an Upcoming Transformers Collaboration
Overwatch 2 Season 11 goes live later this week on June 20 and Blizzard’s launch trailer for the ‘Super Mega Ultrawatch’ season appears to be teasing an Overwatch x Transformers collaboration.
Those paying close attention will notice the appearance of the Autobot logo and unmistakable transformer sound cue at the end of the trailer.
This isn’t Blizzard’s first Overwatch collaboration. Overwatch 2 has featured collabs with One Punch Man, Cowboy Bebop, Diablo, and Porsche in the past. This gives us some clues into how the Transformer collaboration may play out. In Overwatch 2’s collabs with One Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop, we saw various heroes get full skins themed after characters such as Saitama or Spike Spiegel. This time around, it would make a whole lot of sense to see the game’s robotic characters get the same treatment. Bastion, in particular, is a natural fit.
Besides the potential Transformers collab, Season 11 also introduces Mythic tier weapon skins with “exclusive sound and visual effects.” Spending Mythic Prisms will upgrade the weapon, unlocking a Weapon Flourish emote, on kill visual effects, and reactive effects.
The first Mythic weapon skin coming to Overwatch 2 will be Reinhardt’s Bound Demon skin, arriving on July 23.
