Modules in are one of the ways you can buff your character and your weapons. This allows you to further customize your build and make changes to your characters. Generic ones can be added to any character or weapon, depending on which one it affects, while unique ones are harder to obtain but can take your build to a new level.
Learning how to use every character in will take time, but being able to experiment and change how they play will make that time well spent. Having fun is the key aspect of any game, and tweaking a character until you are rolling through the game and having a blast is great for games like this looter-shooter because of its light-hearted nature. Modules help you make your character truly shine and become as overpowered as possible.
Playing with friends makes The First Descendant much more enjoyable as that is the intended way this looter shooter is meant to be played.
The main way players are going to be able to find Modules is bycompleting certain tasks that can be found under “Acquisition Info.” All you need to do is go to the world map and select the “Access Info” tab where you can then select the “Module” screen. From there, you can see what Modules exist and how to unlock them by pressing the “Acquisition Info” button. Notably, some Modules are unique to certain characters, and, while they will boost their abilities specifically, you may find the general ones work just as well for your playstyle.
Once you have them, you can then open the Inventory screen to view and install them. This is where you can start customizing your character and your weapons by picking and choosing various Modules to use. You can move between the Weapon Module and the Descendant Module to choose which layout to modify. You can then drag Modules from the bottom of the screen where your entire inventory is to the top part of the screen, which is where your slots are.
