The first major content update for The First Descendant is available later today, with a new overview trailer showcasing all included content. It’s accompanied by hotfix 1.0.5, which features its share of balance changes and adjustments, like removing Module swapping in Intercept Battles and Infiltration Operations.
Players also can’t change presets or change loadouts during these activities, perhaps to preserve their challenge. The Void Shards obtained from Special Operations have also been increased seven times, with Magnum Studio looking into removing their requirement when activating a Fusion Reactor.
The developer also revealed that Thunder Cage was unintentionally dealing way more than the specified 1.33x damage against clustered enemies. The bug has been fixed, but its damage multiplier is now 2x to compensate. Check out some of the hotfix notes below and full details here.
The First Descendant is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. The first season kicks off in late August – check out the roadmap for more details.
