Services giant PTW has acquired developer Ghostpunch Games.
No figure has been put on the figure, which sees the South Florida-based studio's executive producer Hugh Falk become the site boss for PTW Fort Lauderdale. Meanwhile, technology chief Alejandro Garcia-Tunon is becoming director of co-development.
Ghostpunch was founded in 2015 and features talent that previously worked at the likes of EA, Bethesda, 2K and Gearbox. The company has contributed to series such as Mortal Kombat, Borderlands, Civilization and Fortnite.
PTW says that the deal will bolster its co-development services, as well as its AI capabilities, such as in quality assurance automation and art tech. So, er, yeah, there's that.
“I’m thrilled to announce that Ghostpunch Games and their amazing roster of talent will be joining the PTW family,” PTW boss Deborah Kirkham (pictured) said.
“Ghostpunch is a highly respected development partner for numerous top-tier triple-A studios, boasting a remarkable retainment rate of over 90 per cent. This impressive reputation as a standout studio of talent fully aligns with PTW’s ongoing mission to deliver exceptional development services to its partners around the world.”
