The producer of Lollipop Chainsaw RePop has detailed the changes made to the game’s Original Mode.
The upcoming remaster will feature two modes – an Original Mode which is said to play like the 2012 version released on Xbox 360 and PS3, and a new RePop mode which is less violent and will feature pop-art damage effects.
After it emerged that the Original Mode won’t be entirely untouched, Dragami Games founder and the game’s producer Yoshimi Yasuda took to X in an attempt to reassure players that the changes made won’t amount to censorship.

“Other changes include the number of remaining shots in the blaster, changes to the behavior of Nick’s special moves, the addition of an option to automate QTE, the change of the ranking mode to a time attack that plays through all stages, changes to the lineup of items in the shop, price adjustments, the addition of a chain attack system, image quality, resolution, FPS, and the addition of Yukari Tamura’s voice.”
Yasuda also said the Original Mode has some bug fixes in it, as well as some other details that were overlooked in the first release, such as chainsaw marks appearing on walls and roads.
“We have applied for a Day 1 patch, but the purpose is not to make corrections based on the [platform holder], but to fix bugs and improve the quality of the ranking
