Someone over at PlayStation has CTRL+C and CTRL+V’d the wrong bit of text for Red Dead Redemption as it has the details of an as yet announced PC version.
“Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation — now on PC for the first time ever. Featuring the complete single-player experiences of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound”
This is not the first time a PC version of the game has leaked out, in June this year the Epic Games store leak named a PC version and there have been plenty of rumblings in the past of a PC version. Rockstar themselves have yet to formally announce its acclaimed cowboy sim for PC, but in April a reference to the game was discovered within the Rockstar Games Launcher with a brief synopsis of the game and a mention of its Undead Nightmares expansion.
Originally released in 2010, Red Dead Redemption was made one of the first champions of the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program with a 2018 update that added 4K and a smoother framerate. The beloved Rockstar classic was also ported to both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 last year, the latter version being patched later to run at 60fps.
