Rising to the top of the Raider ranks in the DLC is a fun ride but one player took their dedication to their kingdom ever further by constructing a massive throne worthy of a ruler. While the theme park-inspired DLC was largely slammed by critics and fans for its busy-work quests and underwhelming content, most players agree that the standout moment of the expansion is competing in the Gauntlet and eventually overthrowing Overboss Colter. It's a memorable sequence with a fun reward even if the default throne is a touch disappointing.
Over on Reddit, methin808 demonstrated how players should go about accepting their new role as Raider Overboss by building an awe-inspiring throne that's earning plenty of praise.
The actual construction is a tiered walkway lined with various fire traps constantly firing flames next to the steps which are also lined by barbed wire and spikes, which seems appropriate for a raider leader. At the top,the seat itself is an ornate armchair flanked by two gigantic stone lions, prompting one commenter to decree that methin808 is "the true Overboss."
Keeping the peace between three raider gangs in Fallout 4's Nuka-World is no mean feat and knowing who to keep around and who to betray is vital.
While it may sound like becoming the Raider Overboss is the culmination of the DLC, it actually happens relatively early in the expansion. The Sole Survivor will be recruited by some of Nuka-World's residents to help bring down Overboss Colter, who uses a modified set of power armor to win The Gauntlet. Killing Colter automatically transfers the title of Overboss to the player and with their newfound reputation, they're able to control the three Raider factions running amok in the theme park.
