Tech giant Microsoft has plans to integrate its Copilot AI assistant into video games.
Initially spotted by KTLA tech reporter Rich DeMuro – and reported on by Windows Central – the Big M held an event for AI and its Surface hardware where it showed a demo where the artificial intelligence assistant was able to integrate into Minecraft.
The player is seemingly able to ask Copilot specific questions – such as how to craft a sword – and the assistant will look through their inventory to find the items, or help them locate what is needed. A second video shows Copilot helping the player escape from zombies in the blockbuster title.
Copilot was launched in 2023. It's Microsoft's AI chat bot that has recently been integrated into its Windows OS.
