The Mountaintops of the Giants are a mid-to-end game zone in and home to the last of the Fire Giants. After visiting Leyndell, Royal Capital and failing to commune with the Golden Order, the Mountaintop of the Giants quickly becomes the next target for the Tarnished in their quest to become Elden Lord. This major zone is incredibly secluded from the rest of the map, as there is only one way to reach this zone, the Grand Lift of Rold.
The Grand Lift of Rold is the most important lift in, as it can take you to two entirely different zones. When the Tarnished hits this junction in the story, it will take the player to the Mountaintops of the Giants by default. However, if you know where to find two hidden medallion pieces, it can also take you to Miquella’s Haligtree. To get the Rold Medallion to reach the Mountaintops of the Giants in Elden Ring, players need to defeat Morgott, the Omen King.
