Where is Robert Ramsey when we need him? The cheeky git’s no doubt enjoying a spot of sunshine while we’re left reeling, contending with the release date for – checks notes – Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake. Next you’ll be telling us they’ve announced returning characters for The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki Farewell, O Zemuria… Wait!
Anyway, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake will launch digitally on 24th October across PS5 and PS4. There will be physical copies as well, but these will be exclusive to Japan.
Gematsu mercifully reports based on the official press materials: “Among the new additions, the number of playable officers has been increased from approximately 600 to 1,000. With newly added officers and forces, players can discover new events and relationships between officers for an even more authentic experience.
“The All Periods Scenarios feature has also been updated to offer over 55 scenarios, including fictional ones, making it the largest number of scenarios available in the series history. From the end of the Eastern Han dynasty to the final age of the Three Kingdoms period, players can choose any officers and which period they’d like to play, creating numerous possible combinations for an experience unique to each player.”
If any of this means anything, then more power to you! We’ll defer to Ramsey for further coverage…
