We sort-of already knew this was coming, but now we have a firm release date for Distance, the racing game announced for PS4 almost a decade ago. As spotted by Gematsu, the intense arcade racer is scheduled to launch on both PS5 and PS4 on 9th July 2024. It's very nearly here.
Announced at the tail end of 2014, Distance combines high speeds with minimal environments that are full of deadly hazards and topsy-turvy twists. Your car can jump, fly, and flip to drive on the ceiling, and it's a mastery of these abilities you'll need to make it through the single-player campaign.
Additionally, you can earn medals to unlock 150 tracks across various arcade-like modes. There's even a randomly generated track mode that gives you endless courses to survive. Topping it off is couch multiplayer for up to four.
The game is available to wishlist on PS Store now. Will you be checking out Distance? Let us know in the comments section below.

Finally my pre-order will come through!!
There’s no trailer nor any other screenshots?
So far looks like some mobile game like those Asphalt series.
The little stuff that is to see feels like shovelware
I will be hard to care since i am sure this verison will lack the mods of the PC verison.
@DiscoDriver44 is there a pc version already?
@TheMightyImp2 A quick Google search shows it's on Steam.

Great to see it finally come to console, what a game. Even if no mods, better to have a arcade racer with some fair quirks then the open world ones and whatever
