Sony has announced that this weekend's Concord beta — previously only accessible if you pre-order the game — is now open to all PS Plus members. As long as you have an active membership for any one of the three PS Plus tiers, you'll be able to download and play the PS5 beta during its early access weekend.
The news comes from a fresh PlayStation Blog post, where it is also announced the Concord beta can be pre-loaded on PS5 from today at 6pm BST / 10am PT. Your progress from the two beta phases won't carry over into the full game, but for participating, you'll earn yourself a Lil' Frog Weapon Charm and Star Flare Business Card.
The early access weekend of the Concord beta will then go live on Friday, 12th July 2024 at the following times:

I'm not very interested myself but I'll see what others have to say about it.
This is good and bad news, good news as I'm looking forward to trying the game out and now I can earlier than expected. Bad news is I get the feeling that the only reason Sony are doing this is because the pre orders are very low. Although friend groups would only need one person to pre order as they would get an additional 4 beta codes.
I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if pre-orders are low, but at the end of the day they need to get people to try it.
If it's as good as they think it is, it'll sell itself. So makes sense to open it up to everyone.
