PlayStation Plus subscribers’ free Essential games for the month of August are Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, and Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Wednesday. Players can download the trio of games beginning Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the 2022 collection that lets Star Wars fans play through the events of the prequels, original trilogy, and sequels, with a comedic Lego bent. The game features hundreds of playable characters — and there’s DLC that adds dozens more from non-Skywalker Saga sections of the Star Wars universe like Rogue One, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Clone Wars. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breachis the 2021 installment in the family-friendly horror series. As Gregory, players fight to survive a night at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, with a little help from Freddy Fazbear himself. FNAF: Security Breach will be available on PS4 and PS5.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a dark fantasy 2D action-RPG. As Lily, players engage in side-scrolling combat, puzzle solving, and item collecting as they explore a lost kingdom and unravel its mysteries. Ender Lilies will be available on PS4.
August 2024’s PS Plus games will be available for download through Sept. 2.
PS Plus subscribers can still pick up July’s PlayStation Plus Essential games — Borderlands 3, NHL 24, and Among Us — through Aug. 5.
PlayStation Plus Essential is the lowest tier available in Sony Interactive Entertainment’s subscription service. It offers online multiplayer access, a monthly assortment of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. PlayStation Plus Essential costs $79.99 annually, $24.99 for a three-month subscription, or $9.99 monthly — a price that went up last August.
