The excitement surrounding this past weekend's British Grand Prix has translated into a dramatic sales boost for F1 24, with the Codemasters simulator jumping up 23 places in the UK sales charts. In 31st position previously, the game was the eighth best-selling physical game for the week of the Silverstone race, which saw Lewis Hamilton win in real life.
Elsewhere, Elden Ring once again appeared in the top 10 list of the UK's best-selling boxed titles, but not twice like last week. It's just the base game this time, which retains fourth place. It was beaten by a top three consisting of EA Sports FC 24, Hogwarts Legacy, and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. The rest of the top 10 is rounded out by the usual suspects: GTA V, Minecraft, and Nintendo Switch exclusives.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
And thus is the reason they'll never drop the British GP from the calendar like they occasionally threaten to. Probably helps that 8 teams are based in and around Silverstone.
@BeerIsAwesome tbf Silverstone and Suzuka are usually the highlights of the F1 calendar. Silverstone definitely lived up to it with a brilliant race.
I used to love formula 1 and always bought the games and followed the races on TV but overtime I just got bored with it and don't watch any races now and I haven't bought a formula 1 game in over ten years.
This season of F1 has been phenomenal so far.
I would urge anyone considering buying the new game to get last year's instead though, as that has story mode and is probably dirt cheap now.
GTA V still there. Man alive.
