Elden Ring was the best-selling game in the United States across the month of June, as per data shared by Circana analyst Mat Piscatella on Twitter. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco’s open world action RPG jumped to the top of the charts after coming in at No. 8 in June, enjoying significantly boosted popularity thanks to the launch of its expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree.
This makes it the first time that Elden Ring has topped US software charts since it originally did so upon its release in May of 2022. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 remains the best-selling game of the year so far, followed by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Then there’s Kingdom Hearts: Integrum Masterpiece, which launched for Steam in July and saw a staggering increase in sales, climbing up from No. 399 in the charts in June to No. 3 last month. Meanwhile, new releases Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD debuted in the charts at No. 4 and No. 8 respectively, while The Elder Scrolls Online jumped up to No. 18 (from No. 198 in June) following the release of its Gold Road expansion.
On the hardware side of things, the PS5 was once again the best-selling console of the month in the US in both unit and dollar sales, with the Nintendo Switch following in second place in unit sales, and Xbox Series X/S in dollar sales.

Elden Ring was the best-selling game of June 2024 across each of the PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam ecosystems.
Other new releases appearing among the top 20 best-sellers of June included Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (4th) and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD (8th).
The Elder Scrolls: Online jumped from 198th in May to 18th in June helped by the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road, while Street Fighter 6 finished at #20 in June after placing 72nd on the May
