Good news, everyone: Tales of Graces f Remastered won't be following in the very disappointing footsteps of Tales of Symphonia Remastered. That is to say, it'll be a 60 frames-per-second revival on PS5 and PS4 — something that Symphonia's re-release couldn't manage on Sony's last-gen console, or the PS5 when played via backwards compatibility.
The confirmation of 60fps comes from Bandai Namco's own Q&A on the newly announced remaster. On PS5, it's 60fps at 4K resolution — which is what you'd expect from a remastered PS3 title. On PS4 Pro, it's 60fps at 1440p, and on the base PS4, it's 60fps at 1080p. Good stuff.
Indeed, a smoother frame rate is especially nice to have when a game is built around action combat, and Tales of Graces f has plenty of that. The title's fast-flowing, combo-based system is a highlight of the experience.
Goodness Graces
Are you glad to hear that Tales of Graces f Remastered isn't skimping on performance? Don't drop that combo in the comments section below.
Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
