Remedy Entertainment and Annapurna have announced a strategic partnership, which will see Annapurna provide 50% of the development budget for Control 2. Additionally, the two companies will work together on bringing Control and Alan Wake to both film and television. Annapurna’s main focus will primarily be the films and shows, allowing Remedy to focus on the game development side of things.

We are excited to see them bring the universes and characters we have created to life in new mediums, thanks to this unique deal.”

Previously, Remedy had a co-development partnership for Control 2 with 505 Games. Earlier this year, Remedy acquired the rights to the Control series from 505 Games, which included Control 2 and the co-op project Concord. In May, Remedy did announce the cancellation of another co-op game that had the codename Project Kestrel, and this was in development with Tencent as a partner.
