Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland, the retro 8-bit platformer inspired by the iconic Nikelodeon cartoon, will crawl to PS5 and PS4 from 10th September. It’ll cost $24.99 so is a little on the steep side, but it’s worth remembering you’re effectively getting an old-school adventure and remaster in one, as you’re able to toggle between classic and contemporary visuals on the fly.

“Everyone’s favourite babies are back in action,” the press release reads. “When Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil see a commercial for the new Reptar video game, they pretend that they’re in a video game of their own. Through the power of imagination, the babies transform Tommy’s house into a video game world full of action, excitement, and adventure.”
The entire game will be playable in local two-player co-op, and there’ll be various cameos and references to the original TV cartoon. Similarly, each baby will have their own unique features and gameplay mechanics, so you’ll need to swap between them in order to progress through the puzzles. Will you be getting on your knees for this game? Let us know below.

I loved Rugrats growing up and still own the PS1 games. Day one buy.
I’d preorder it right now if I could
Was never really a Rugrats fan, despite watching it with the other Nick Toons, bit this looks pretty neat.
