Thanks to the use of mods, there are opportunities to make the gameplay experience even more immersive for those looking to get more replay opportunities out of the title. A mod from Nexus Mods user nathdev can help do just that; called Night Curfew, the mod implements a strict curfew time, upping the stakes for those who decide to sneak out in the middle of the night to go on midnight excursions. Though this isn't a new mod, it's one that has been well-loved by players. At the time of writing, it currently has more than 10,000 unique downloads since it was released in November 2023, and the mod's creator has made it compatible with the 1.6 update.
The Night Curfew mod introduces 16 new prefects to the game, scattered throughout the castle to potentially catch those out of bed at inappropriate hours. Between the in-game hours of midnight and six in the morning, players exploring the halls of Hogwarts can be caught by these Prefects and sent back to their common rooms, resulting in a fine of 100 knuts. Players will be able to spot the prefects on their maps, helping them plan their alternate routes, but still adding a bit of adrenaline to the otherwise routine night quests.
Hogwarts Legacy is a fairly immersive game by default, but there are plenty of roleplay techniques players can use to make it even more immersive.
