Rumours of remastered Tales games have been doing the rounds for a while now, and one of them's just been confirmed. 2010's Tales of Graces f — originally an enhanced PS3 re-release — is being revived on modern consoles next year as Tales of Graces f Remastered. It's coming to both PS5 and PS4 on the 17th January.
According to the official press release, this remaster boasts «quality of life improvements and additions, downloadable content from the original version and newly localised scenes that will be available in English for the very first time». Sounds promising.
Of course, the hope will be that this is a more impressive remaster than the fairly recent Tales of Symphonia Remastered, which left much to be desired in its updated character models and capped 30 frames-per-second performance.
Are you a Tales of Graces fan? Try to forget about those awful characters and concentrate on the cool combat system in the comments section below.
Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
Always quite liked this one despite not getting too far in to it.
Sadly I have bad memories of Graces f. Finished the full thing on PS3 but found it to be an absolute slog at times because of the characters. Thought they were terrible.
But I'm willing to give it another chance if the remaster's good!
Awesome news but after the disappointing port of Symphonia I will just wait until we get the full details of this remastered version. I really hope is not a straight port of the PS3 version.
Lol last week i booted up my Day 1 Edition just to see if it's still working.
But as much as i enjoyed Graces, i probably skip this remaster and keep waitng
