We’ve got a bone to pick with you: it appears that Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders was announced – and none of you told us! We were obviously big fans of the original Lonely Mountains: Downhill, the cycling game which came out of nowhere and took us by surprise. This sequel looks quite a lot less lonely, as it’s got an online multiplayer mode that will see you skiing alongside others, but it’s still got that blissful, almost ASMR-esque vibe.
Bike curious
In the IGN gameplay video embedded above, the developer explains how it spent a lot of time simply perfecting the controls. While we’d need to go hands on to be certain, it does look very satisfying to cut through the snow.
The game isn’t technically announced for the PS5 yet, which is perhaps why it hasn’t been on our radar at all this week. But considering the original title was eventually ported to everything, we’d be shocked if PlayStation didn’t get a version eventually. And we’ll be first in line when it does ultimately release.

What if I have no bones.
Oooh this will be good.
Lonely Mountains was such a chill but challenging, well executed game
It was announced on the indie showcase last night.
@Frmknst Haha, well I'm glad you're all paying more attention than me!
Looks dreamy!!! With a kid on the way this will have to be my ski trip for this coming winter!
Looks cool (pun intended), wonder if it will have Abominable Snowmen (now, who’s old enough to remember that!)
