As a single-player game that’s been out for close to a year, it’s no surprise that Starfield hasn’t been attracting players in droves for some months now, though the space-faring RPG recently saw an uptick in player activity, courtesy of its latest update, it’s been reported.
Earlier this month, Bethesda Game Studios released a free update for Starfield that brought with it a host of long-requested new features and enhancements, including frame rate options on Xbox, in-game city maps, new ship building options, and more. That update, as many may have anticipated, has attracted plenty of people back to the game.
That’s as per True Achievements, which claims in a report that as per its player engagement tracking data, Starfield saw a 72 percent boost in player numbers on Xbox Series X/S following the release of its most recent update.
Bethesda has said that it has plenty of more new updates planned for Starfield. In addition to regular free updates (one of which will finally add a land vehicle for players to use), the space RPG will also se the release of its first expansion, Shattered Steel, sometime this Fall. The expansion is rumoured to be targeting a September release.
