Masterworking is a new crafting system in introduced in season four, Loot Reborn. The goal of this system is to allow players to alter their gear to better fit their build and play style. To perfect their gear, players need to find specific, new reagents, including Ingolith.
Masterworking is one of the best ways to improve the items you have collected in. Masterworking an item gives an attached affix a 5% increase, with the 4th, 8th, and 12th Masterwork levels also giving a 25% affix increase. The three materials necessary to masterwork items are Obducite, Ingolith, and Neathiron. Although there are other reagents that you will occasionally need, these are the three components required at every Masterworking level. If you want to improve your gear in, it’s best to know where to find Ingolith.
Heartseeker Rogues have quickly emerged as one of the premier subclasses in Diablo 4. The right gear, aspects, and skills can make it even better.
The best place to farm Ingolith in season four is The Pit of Artificers. The Pit is located in Cerrigar, found in the Scosglen zone. Players will unlock this new endgame dungeon after you access World Tier Four. After completing the initial quest associated with The Pit, you can run this dungeon frequently to farm all three necessary components for Masterworking. The different levels of The Pit provide different rewards, with Ingolith being found in challenge levels 30 through 59.
Ingolith is found at levels 30 — 59; any levels below this will reward you with Obducite. Neathiron, the hardest of the three to acquire, is found on levels 60 and above.
Aside from The Pit, another way to get Ingolith is to visit an Alchemist. You can find an Alchemist in most major centers in and exchange gold and Neathiron to acquire the Masterworking material. Once you have cleared out The Pit for the first time, you can visit any Blacksmith in and finally access the Masterworking menu to upgrade your gear even further.
