The name of the next Dragon Ball Kakarot DLC has been discovered in the game files, revealing how it will be based on the next iteration of the franchise.
As reported by Josou Kitsune on X/Twitter, the game's latest update, which introduced a new side quest, includes in its files references to its next DLC expansion. Unlike what most expected, the next expansion won't be based on Dragon Ball GT or Dragon Ball Super, but on Dragon Ball Daima, a new anime series, and Akira Toriyama's last work, which is set to release this Fall.
Dragon Ball Kakarot proved to be rather successful on the market, so much so that Bandai Namco decided to continue supporting the game well past its first round of DLC expansions. Even without additional content, the game is well worth the time of any fan of the series, despite some issues, as it is an accurate recreation of the Dragon Ball Z story, as we highlighted in our review.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a mixed bag. If you're a Dragon Ball fan, this game will offer so many nice moments and make you occasionally beam from ear to ear. But then during exploration and combat, things quickly become tedious. At full price, it's hard to recommend this game, but when it becomes affordable in a sale, it'll be hard for fans to resist.
Dragon Ball Kakarot is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
