You may remember the cult hit indie game Darkest Dungeon, which arrived on PS4 and PS Vita back in 2016. In the years since, developer Red Hook Studios has been beavering away at Darkest Dungeon 2, which successfully launched on PC last year. If you've been waiting to see if the sequel would venture onto consoles, it's now all but confirmed thanks to a newly posted age certification.
As spotted by Gematsu, the Brazilian ratings board has rated Darkest Dungeon 2 for release on PS5 and PS4, as well as every other console platform. This indicates that the game is certainly heading for consoles — now it's just a matter of getting official confirmation, potentially with a release date too.
Darkest Dungeon 2 is a brutally challenging, turn-based roguelike, much like the original, but it takes daring steps away from the formula established by its predecessor. Instead of delving into the titular dungeons, each excursion takes your team on a stagecoach journey, allowing you to explore each region and come across various random encounters. Combat is largely the same, albeit with some improvements, but many fundamental mechanics are changed, which has received a somewhat mixed reception from players.
We're curious to play it for ourselves and see just how different the new game is. Fortunately, it'll be coming to PS5 and PS4 in the near future. Would you like to play Darkest Dungeon 2 on PS5 and PS4? Let us know in the comments section below.

But will it be on the PS Vita as well?
I've played this briefly on pc. From my short go, it does seem a lot more streamlined/simplified.
