Everybody's Gone to the Rapture developer The Chinese Room has announced its next title Still Wakes the Deep will launch for PS5 on 18th June 2024. You can watch a new trailer above, which debuted during the Future Games Show earlier today. Set aboard an oil rig caught up in a storm, you must face «the unknowable horror that’s come aboard».
«Search for your crew and help them survive if you can. Run, climb, and swim through the flooding corridors and storm-lashed outer decks,» the PS Store listing continues. «Face a terrifying, unrelenting foe. And pray that, one day, you get to see your family again.»
You can add the PS5 title to your wishlist now. Do you like the look of Still Wakes the Deep? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
Any new TCR horror goes straight on me radar!
I, like Truman, have a fear of the sea (although through no family tragedy) and I wish there were more horror games or media based around that grim, watery abyss. It's the one thing that really gives me the willies.
This and Indika are the clear highlights of the Future Games Show, in my opinion. Looking forward to having two new games to fill out a slow looking gaming summer.
That rlly floats my lifeboat I’m wishing on that on for definite. Right away
So is this going to be a true survival horror or more of a walking simulator horror game?
Oil rigs are inherently creepy, with all the random noises and bizarre architecture. Hopefully this takes advantage of that.
Had no idea this was even out there but I’ll definitely have my eye on it. Looks like a potentially good game. Certainly something to play in the Summer months as it doesn’t look like there’s much coming out at that time.
@jFug would assume more of a walking sim.
Ooo looks great. Not available in my country
