A new Marvel game will be officially announced tomorrow (that's the 27th March) at 8am PT / 11am ET / 3pm GMT. That's according to hype master Geoff Keighley, who's teasing the title on social media.
But as it happens, we may already know what this game is. As reported by Forbes, this project is heavily rumoured to be a six-versus-six hero-based shooter, in a similar vein to Overwatch — but obviously featuring Marvel characters with their super-powered abilities. It's also said to be third-person.
Apparently, the game is actually coming from NetEase — the Chinese tech company that currently owns a staggering number of game development studios. Of course, NetEase is also behind a bunch of popular free-to-play, mobile-based titles — and so people will no doubt be questioning the business model of this Marvel game before it's even been revealed. The title is supposedly targeting PC and consoles.
What do you make of this? Feel free to list off the Marvel heroes and villains that you want to be playable in the comments section below.
Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, he's played 'em all — a little too much, some might say.

So far multiplayer super-hero games are 0-2. So the odds aren't in their favor.
