Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has no plans for DLC, but that isn't stopping fans from putting together wishlists for all the further adventures they'd love to take their parties on.
A popular suggestion put forward is delving into Avernus, given how prominently it features in the base game. Fans especially want to help Karlach get vengeance and rid herself of the Infernal Engine, but there is one issue - not everyone has her in their party by the end of the game. FriendshipNo1440, however, has a solution - "If she is not there, maybe Wyll, and if he is not there either, a failsafe NPC can give us a quest to destroy Zariel's forge."
Others want to see Withers' story continue. The enigmatic undead lingering in our camp is heavily implied to be Jergal, the former God of Death, and there's a scene at the very end of the game (before the recently added epilogue) in which he looks at a mural of the Dead Three and mocks them. "Maybe the old gang has to get together to thwart his plan," Supreme_Moharn commented.
FriendshipNo1440 also threw out the idea of tying up Lae'zel's storyline with a githyanki revolution. This runs into a similar problem of assuming the player helps her usurp Vlakith, siding with the insurrection. One possible way to make it work is to have "Withers or Orpheus ask for help as Valkith is also playing with death" much like the Dead Three whose plans we just thwarted.
Alternatively, we could follow the vampire spawn sent to the Underdark in the wake of Astarion's questline. This does assume we kill Cazador and refuse to let the pale elf ascend, but the idea of subverting a war between spawn and drow in the depths of the Underdark is too cool to ignore.
Probably a brand-new adventure. It will be very difficult to have too many connections to the existing game due to the many different possible endings.
There's also the potential of digging deeper into the Dark Urge's past; "I think it has a lot of merit because it could be separate from the
