A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 user has shared a clip that demonstrates the shocking power of the Haymaker shotgun's new JAK Maglift Kit. The aftermarket part was added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as part of the Season 2 update.
Call of Duty's Season 2 update, which dropped on February 7, added an assortment of new features to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, including seven new aftermarket parts. For those who might be unfamiliar, aftermarket parts are unique and often powerful upgrades that can be added to a weapon. These parts can sometimes change a gun's behavior quite drastically, like the Holger 556's JAK Backsaw Kit, which allows the gun to fire two bullets at the same time from two side-by-side barrels.
One of the aftermarket parts added with Season 2 was the Haymaker's JAK Maglift Kit, which gives the shotgun two major upgrades. First, it implements a binary trigger, which allows the weapon to fire a bullet every time the user presses the trigger and every time the user lets go of the trigger, significantly improving its fire rate. A Reddit user posted a clip to the Modern Warfare 3 subreddit that showcased the JAK Maglift's exceptional capabilities in the right scenario, as they quickly dispatched a large number of enemies in a short period.
Of course, the strength of this aftermarket part can only be fully utilized on a small map like Meat, which is shown in the clip. Other maps like Shipment, Shoot House, and Stash House are good fits as well, although the rest of Modern Warfare 3's maps might make using the weapon much more challenging. Sledgehammer attempted to balance the JAK Maglift by removing the one-shot capability seen in the base Haymaker, although a two-shot kill can still be quickly fired off thanks to its binary trigger.
