Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has a bunch of easter eggs in Batman's Batcave that pay respect to Warner Bros. Montreal's Arkham Origins, providing more evidence that it's canon to the wider Arkham universe.
Although Batman: Arkham fans have seemed pretty upset over the last few months thanks to Suicide Squad's treatment of Batman and the fact that we got a live-service game instead of a traditional single-player one, their sadness is nothing compared to the people who stand by Arkham Origins as being one of the best games in the series.
You see, despite doing a great job at following Rocksteady's formula, Arkham Origins was developed by another studio, Warner Bros. Montreal, and has mostly been treated as non-canon and ignored since its release. Arkham Knight totally ignored it and even Suicide Squad seems to suggest that its events never happened by not including them in the Batman Experience section of the game.
Although that might seem like another harsh blow to anyone who loves Arkham Origins, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League does at least pay some respect to the black sheep of the Arkham family. As pointed out by Twitter user TheDoctorX11, Batman's Batcave in Metropolis is filled with references and easter eggs to the series, such as Scarecrow's mask, Red Hood's helmet, and more.
Suicide Squad paying tribute to Rocksteady's other Batman games doesn't come as a surprise, but what is surprising is the references to Arkham Origins. As shown in the tweet above, you can see items from several of the game's villains, including Anarky's mask and Electructioner's gauntlets.
You can also spot Deathstroke's staff and sword and Black Mask's, uh, mask, but considering those two actually appeared in Arkham Knight, that seems like a more general nod to that game instead of Arkham Origins.
Considering these two villains only ever showed up in Arkham Origins and not in the main three games of the series, it's clearly meant to pay tribute to Warner Bros.
