New audio leaks ahead of the Joker's debut in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, giving fans a new look at the character as well as a defining moment in his particular story. Since launching at the start of February, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which hasn't gotten off to a great start, even though there are parts of the game that fans seem to really enjoy. However, Rocksteady has plans to continue tweaking the experience, with planned changes coming soon as well as the first season coming in a couple of weeks.
As a live service title, the plan is to keep Suicide Squad growing with new content through a seasonal model. As previously revealed, Season 1 kicks off in March and not only brings with it a new playable character with an Elseworlds version of Joker, but the season will be adding tons of new content to the game, including costumes, new activities, gear, and missions to check out. While many were surprised by Joker's new look and voice, the change is actually for a reason as newly leaked audio files give some context on who this character is through a surprising backstory admission.
The reveal appeared on the Suicide Squad subreddit, where a user named M00r3C posted a short video completion of audio files from the upcoming Season 1 character. Not only can fans hear more of this new version of the Joker, considering he sounds quite different from the more traditional Mark Hamill version from the previous Arkham games, but the audio actually contains new details surrounding this Elseworlds Joker story. While Rocksteady previously confirmed that this Joker variant is a completely new take on the character, more vaudeville and not quite as crazy as what fans are used to.
