A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player crafted a strategy they used to take down the Seven-Star Tera raid boss Charizard the Unrivaled, with the Pokemon Sylveon as the focal point of their plan. Known as the Intertwining Pokemon, Sylveon is the Fairy-type evolution of Eevee, and it was introduced in Pokemon X and Y alongside the Fairy type itself. As the most recent Eeveelution introduced to the Pokemon franchise, Sylveon is a pink Pokemon with light blue eyes and ribbons across its body and ears. An Eevee with high friendship and a Fairy-type move learned will evolve into Sylveon upon leveling up. Given that the Fairy type was created to be a hard counter to Dragon-type Pokemon, including Terastallized Pokemon like Charizard the Unrivaled, several Pokemon trainers have created strategies that use Fairy Pokemon like Sylveon to great effect.
With the return of Charizard the Unrivaled, a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player chose Sylveon to form a strategy around. On Reddit, a user named Pale_Software_3241 shared their build for Sylveon on the r/PokemonScarletViolet subreddit. Though strategies using Magikarp were popular for taking on Venusaur and Blastoise in previous Seven-Star Tera raid battles, the OP chose to stick with the Fairy types to take down the Dragon-Tera Charizard and could be used either solo or with another player. Their Sylveon build used the Intertwining Pokemon's Hidden Ability, Pixilate, which turned Normal-type attacks into the Fairy type with a slight potency boost, and gave Sylveon the move Hyper Beam to use in conjunction with this ability. Hyper Beam received another boost thanks to the Life Orb held by Sylveon.
