With Easter right around the corner, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet revealed that a new Mass Outbreak event featuring Baby Pokemon will start at the end of March. This new Mass Outbreak event will give Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players a chance to catch some rare Pokemon with a chance to carry an equally rare mark.
The latest Mass Outbreak event follows after the conclusion of a Five-Star Tera Raid event that featured the Paradox Pokemon Brute Bonnet and Iron Hands. Though Brute Bonnet and Iron Hands are normally found in Area Zero within their respective versions, the Five-Star Tera Raid battles allowed players to catch a level 75 Paradox Pokemon with a specific Tera type and a chance to obtain some Sweet Herba Mystica as a reward. Occasionally, in place of a Tera Raid battle event, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet grant players a chance to catch different Pokemon that will appear in specific spots throughout Paldea, Kitakami, and the Terarium.
These Mass Outbreaks are themed around specific Pokemon, with the February 2024 outbreak featuring Pokemon shaped like Poke Balls. The upcoming event will continue that trend, as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will host a Mass Outbreak featuring baby Pokemon during Easter weekend. The outbreak starts on Thursday, March 28, at 8:00 PM Eastern, and ends on Sunday, March 31, at 7:59 PM Eastern. Players must connect to the Internet and check Poke Portal News during the event window to ensure Baby Pokemon outbreaks will appear, each of which has a chance of holding the Vigor Mark. In Paldea, the baby Pokemon Happiny and Pichu will show up. Munchlax and Riolu outbreaks will start appearing in Kitakami, and the Terarium will host waves of Elekid and Magby outbreaks. These Baby Pokemon can evolve into Pokemon such as Lucario, Snorlax, and Blissey, which can be used in Tera Raid battles.
Baby Pokemon were introduced to the franchise in Pokemon Gold and Silver, and Pichu, Elekid, and Magby were among the first ones added. In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl
