Through Genshin Impact's crafting system, players are able to acquire multiple new Gadgets to make finding the game's hidden treasures easier. Oculus Resonance Stones point players towards the hidden Oculus collectibles, allowing fans to easily track down items they may have missed during their adventure. The game's Treasure Compasses function similarly for chests, giving players a path to follow in order to find chests within a given area. Now, a new change is looking to make the Treasure Compass easier to use within Genshin Impact.
A recent leak shared to the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit via leaker Team Mew details the new changes coming to Genshin Impact's Treasure Compasses. According to the post, HoYoverse is planning to remove the light trails associated with the Treasure Compass, used to guide players in the direction of chests. Instead, the new update to the Gadgets will place a marker on Genshin Impact's in-game minimap, signalling the location of the chest. The new fix will even reportedly inform players of whether a chest is located underground or underwater.
