The PlayStation 5: Tablet Edition is the Ultimate Modded Portable Gaming System
The PlayStation Portal system made it possible for users to enjoy PlayStation 5 games away from the console, but requiring an internet connection to work, it cannot compare to a proper portable system, such as a custom version of the console showcased in a video shared online today.
DIY Perks, who also built a proper slim edition of the console last year, created the world's first PlayStation 5: Tablet Edition, truly making Sony's current generation console portable, whose creation was documented in the video below. The end results are phenomenal, making us wish Sony would really release a similar system.
Having released the aforementioned PlayStation Portal console and a PlayStation 5 hardware revision, Sony is apparently focused on the Pro version of its current generation console, which is rumored to be released later this year. The system is apparently going to be powered by an eight-core Zen 2 CPU running in the low 4 GHz range, 60 compute units RDNA 3 custom GPU running at 2500-2800 MHz, 16 GB GDDR6 memory at 18000MT/s. While the Zen 2 CPU may not sound like a massive upgrade over the base model, it is the choice that makes the most sense for a variety of reasons.
