The development of the unofficial Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC port has ceased for the foreseeable future, and it is very unlikely ever to see the light of day.
As reported on X/Twitter by PC Focus, the development team announced on their Discord yesterday that development has been halted for the foreseeable future without providing any additional detail, although it is likely it was halted to ensure the safety of the development team, as it is being reported they were being harassed and their private information shared publicly.
While it is a shame this unofficial Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 port is never getting released, as development was proceeding incredibly quickly, it's not like PC players will never get to experience Peter Parker and Miles Morales's latest adventure, as the game is getting released on PC in the future. Development will end this fiscal year, so it is likely the port will be released in the second half of 2024.
