Fortnite: Every New Augment Added in Chapter 4 Season 2 (& What They Do)
has introduced seven new Augments that players can pick to give themselves an advantage in combat and survival on the island. Newly introduced in, Augments are powerful per-match perks that give players passive and active benefits, ranging from improved weapon reload rates to scouting abilities and improved traversal. Throughout their matches, players can roll and assemble a set of Augments that synergize with their weapon loadouts to give themselves an edge in firefights.
Every few minutes, players can unlock and use a Augment, with the game offering them a choice between two Augments selected at random from the current Augment pool. Players can only obtain a maximum of four Augments per match, although they can be claimed no matter where players are on the island. In, players will be able to choose from a selection of Augments carried over from last season, and seven new Augments that boost everything from exploration and looting to melee combat.

Augments are powerful perks, but players might find that the random selection doesn’t quite match up with their current playstyles or loadouts.
