While the recently released demo for the remake of mostly serves to let players get a small taste of the full game, it also contains some deviously hidden secrets, including the demo's best weapon. Continuing a trend of remaking old classics in a modern style, 's presents perhaps the remake series' biggest challenge yet, with the original being an almost universally beloved classic.
As the full game draws closer to release, it's become clear that is changing the original's gameplay in significant ways, with most changes being on full display in 's Chainsaw Demo. Notably, the remake makes significant changes to Leon's capabilities in combat — he can move while aiming, quickly swap weapons without visiting the inventory, and even parry enemy attacks with his knife (at the cost of limited durability). But while streamlined combat will help most players get through the demo's short duration, there's also a particularly hard-to-find secret that gives access to its most powerful weapon.

The Chainsaw Demoallows players to access the pistol, shotgun, and grenades that would normally be available in the game's opening section, but also contains a third obtainable gun — a fully upgraded TMP. The weapon far outstrips the demo's pistol and shotgun, making taking down Ganados a breeze — and it can be invaluable for taking on the remake demo's secret hard mode, as obtaining it once then carries it over to player's inventory on any subsequent runs. However, actually getting to the gun takes making some seemingly counterproductive decisions, making it a particularly difficult secret to find naturally.
