The Old School RuneScape team is still refining its community polling over what its first new Prayer, the Ruinous Powers, will be when it’s released. They’ve also continued asking the community how to improve Bounty Hunter rewards.
With thefirst round of polling very split, specifically between those who favor different playstyles, they said they’d be back with another polling round after incorporating feedback. The feedback received reflected those separate playstyles, but also gave the team some room to scrap some options, tweak others, and make small changes across most of the rest.
One of the initial proposals was something called Overprotection. This would have protected two items upon death, while draining the player by 25% while it was active. Concerns over this in PvP, meant that they have shelved it, at least for now, but do want feedback, especially for an alternative that works in the same area as Protect Item.
They have also scrapped all of the Skilling-focused options, saying that surveys show “there being support for skilling prayers, but that the Ruinous Powers don't feel like the right home for them at this stage”. While they are removing these options for now, they do have interest in beefing up what they are offering for Skilling.
They've also added a couple of options. Berserker works similarly to Preserve, except for combat stats only. They've also decided to add some passive Ancient Element prayers they call Vows. These are side elements and allow players to embody elements.
Bounty Hunter is coming back, and the team islooking for feedback on some loose ends in terms of rewards. The rewards are tailored towards PvP, since they are going to be obtained in a PvP mini game, along with PvP-related
