Playable infants have now been added to the base game. For nearly a decade, infants were treated more like extended furniture than actual Sims.
Now, infants have a range of abilities, and interactions to make them stand out and be ready to grow into toddlers. The original infants still remain but have been renamed as newborns.
This starting life state is also greatly shortened to just a few days. Loading up saves made prior to the March patch will simply reclassify existing babies.
There is no need to fully redesign a large portion of the town. Sims 4 Guides: How to Have Twins, Triplets, & Other Multiple Pregnancies Infants can now be directly created and edited within Create a Sim (CAS).
