Star Wars Jedi: Survivor features tons of different customization options that let players change not only how Cal looks by combining different hair and beard styles and clothing pieces but also how his Lightsaber looks. All these clothing and Lightsaber customization options are not available from the very start of the game, so players will have to put in a bit of work and explore the game's different planets to the fullest to expand their array of visual customization options.
Things are different when it comes to Lightsaber colors, as nine different colors, including blue, green, magenta, and cyan, are available as soon as you get access to your first Workbench. These nine colors, however, aren't the only Lightsaber colors available in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, as there is a tenth color that must be unlocked before it can be used.
Long-time Star Wars fans won't be surprised to learn how it's the red Lightsaber color the one that has to be unlocked. As red Lightsabers have been wielded throughout the series only by Sith, it wouldn't have made much sense for a Jedi Knight loyal to the Light Side of the Force to be able to use one right from the start of the game.
To unlock the red Lightsaber color as a permanent Lightsaber customization option, all you need to do is complete the game once at any difficulty setting. After seeing the ending to Cal's new adventure, you will become able to play through the game again in the New Game Plus mode called New Journey Plus. In this mode, you can change Cal's Lightsaber color to red by simply accessing any Workbench and picking the color as if it were any of the nine ones available in the first playthrough.
