Qualcomm introduced hefty improvements to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and those traits are expected to be enhanced with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. We now have some information regarding the clock speeds of the Cortex-X4, and it is a decent jump compared to the Cortex-X3.
One of the biggest reasons for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s performance leap was that Qualcomm switched to a different CPU cluster. Though the company stuck with one Cortex-X3 core, it increased the number of performance cores to four while reducing the efficiency cores to three. According to RGcloudS, that configuration will remain the same for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but the Cortex-X4 is expected to run at 3.70GHz.
This results in a 15 percent clock speed boost compared to the 3.20GHz frequency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s Cortex-X3. However, it is unclear if the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will run at the same 3.70GHz clock speed or if Qualcomm and Samsung have something different planned for the Galaxy S24 family. We have also not taken into account the speeds of the remaining seven cores, as that will contribute a lot to multi-core performance.
Snapdragon gen 3 is indeed strongBigger jump compared to last gen
Apparently the main contributor was arm itself, especially X4 & 1,4,3 config
i think it's almost confirmed that gen3 for galaxy will beat bionic 17 frequency"on paper"
up to 3.7+ghz for mobile

On Twitter, RGcloudS is confident that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will beat the A17 Bionic, at least on paper. However, earlier, he stated that Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC could register the highest single-core performance for any smartphone SoC, which would mean that it would effectively beat the A17 Bionic.
