The upcomingSims 4 DLC will reportedly have a new adoption feature that lets players adopt existing kids. Releasing on March 16th, The Sims 4's Growing Together expansion pack will have new social dynamics and other mechanics that are vital to family gameplay, as well as new items and playable lots.
Ever since the first Sims game came out in 2000, players were given the chance to start and grow their own virtual families. It wasn't until The Sims 2 when players were able to care for newborn babies and watch them grow up into toddlers, children, teens, and so on.
Sims 4 Growing Together Will Only Have 12 Playable Lots
Longtime Sims players would know that one could have a baby either by getting pregnant after a WooHoo, or contacting an adoption service in the game to get a random kid. But in the upcoming The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack, players will reportedly be given the option to adopt existing children. In a photo tweeted by The Sims 4 producer Dave Miotke, he showed a series of actions, like «Adopt Channing,» available when players click on a baby. Adult Sims will also receive an adoption certificate once the action is completed. This new feature will not only make the process in the game quicker, but also allow them to choose the child they want to adopt.
Many The Sims 4 players on social media seem excited about the feature, with some pointing out that stepparents could potentially adopt their step-kids now. A number of them also asked if this meant that Sims could adopt any kid they encounter, with one saying that they'll be careful about clicking on someone's kid and accidentally adopting them.
