Actors Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey are teaming up for a new TV series in which they will play themselves. The pair have acted together before, as they starred in the first season of True Detective. They are also known to be good friends in their personal lives and are known to go on a «friendship tour» every year.
Their new collaboration is for an untitled Apple TV+ comedy where the two live on the same Texas ranch with their families, «testing the actors' friendship in the process.» Both Harrelson and McConaughey are executive producers for the TV series as well, according to IndieWire.
The new TV show hails from David West Read, who has another Apple TV+ show, The Big Door Prize, which releases March 29. Read previously won an Emmy for the comedy Schitt's Creek.
In addition to True Detective, Harrelson and McConaughey previously worked together on the movies Welcome to Hollywood, EdTV, and Surfer, Dude.
Apple TV+ has a number of big upcoming releases, including the Tetris movie and the new Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon, both of which are due out this year.
