A new themed café is opening in two cities in Japan that will focus on takeaway desserts. The café will be themed after Kirby, one of Japan's most iconic classic video game characters. The new cafés were just announced a few days ago, and the cafés are already set to open next month in Tokyo and Osaka. The Tokyo location will open first on April 13th, followed by the Osaka location on April 23rd.
The new café will be called Kirby Cafe Petit, and it will be a smaller version of the full size Kirby Cafe in Tokyo. Of course, there will be fewer items on offer, but the focus will be more on dessert than on full dinners. The special sweets that have been revealed so far are perfect for one person to enjoy, either at home or on the bullet train between cities, making all the other passengers jealous.

The Kirby Cafe Petit promotional images show a smaller version of the Kirby Cafe's sweets star, the Maxim Tomato tart, and the Mouthful Mode Car Cake, which is a car shaped like Kirby himself. The cafés will be set up to look like pâtisseries, with a color scheme of white and, of course, pink. Besides cute desserts, Kirby Cafe Petit will also have a merchandise section, selling goods that are exclusive to the café that you would otherwise not be able to buy.
In Tokyo, Kirby Cafe Petit will be opening in Tokyo Station in the Character Street section. This area of the station has a lot of smaller themed cafés, so Kirby Cafe Petit is just adding another delicious stop for people who enjoy themed foods.
