Following the recent changes to Omen of Clarity and how it functions for Feral Druids, Blizzard has implemented a new hotfix. The Naturalist talent in the Restoration tree has been reduced by half, increasing the total physical damage the talent gives by 5%, instead of the previous 10%. The previous change to Feral Druid Omen of Clarity had no effect in PvP, as it specifically stated it didn't work on player characters.
This new change to the Naturalist talent will impact PvP Feral Druids, as well as slightly impacting threat for Bear Druids in PvE. Edit: Blizzard has clarified in a Blue Post that Bear Threat Multiplier has been increased to compensate for the loss in damage. Additionally, Omen of Clarity will proc from Gift of the Wild again, reverting the previous change.Old Talent -> Updated Talent in Game
Blue Post from Blizzard Greetings all! We are making a follow-up change on the Omen of Clarity adjustment we made last week. That change ended up increasing Feral Cat damage a little more than we wanted, so we are making an additional change to lower this output by about 4.5%. This change will also reduce Bear damage slightly, so their threat multiplier has been increased very slightly to compensate. Lastly, we found the change that prevented Gift of the Wild from trigging Omen of Clarity was unnecessary, and will have a negative impact on Balance Druids, so that change is being reverted.Naturalist (Talent) now increases physical damage by 1/2/3/4/5% (was 2/4/6/8/10%).
Omen of Clarity now triggers from Gift of the Wild. Slightly increased Bear threat multiplier to compensate for reduction to Naturalist. .
