Overwatch 2: Season 4 went live a few days ago, and the new Support hero Lifeweaver is available for all Premium Battle Pass owners. Of course, players are quickly noticing some issues with his kit, particularly having to swap between healing and damage. It’s not the most intuitive setup, especially since you must charge his heal to maximize its benefits.
The development team is thankfully aware of this. Game director Aaron Keller tweeted that it was “looking into alternative control methods for Lifeweaver’s dash and weapon swap to make the transition from healing to damage smoother. Additional details and timing coming soon.”
There have also been some concerns regarding Tree of Life, his Ultimate. While blocking line of sight and serving as a barrier that can heal allies, it’s somewhat tame compared to other forms of AoE healing (Lucio’s Amp-up, for example). Time will tell if this is also improved before he arrives in Ranked mode.
On the bright side, Brigitte’s revamp in Season 4 has been a success, providing a larger shield and a Shield Bash that can stun multiple opponents when using Rally. Head here for more details on balance changes.
