Neverwinter’s latest update is mostly concerned with bug fixes and changes that improve the player experience. Special attention is paid to the recently-released module, Menzoberranzan, and the city itself.
Menzoberranzan launched at the end of March, and this new patch has a few significant updates. The team has revised a number of the companions, fixing bugs and balancing them better. All of the Healer companions got a full Improvement to all of their healing powers, with the team promising that healing companions will continue to get a better look. The list of changes is extensive, but a few of them include:
Adbar Shield Maiden and Man at Arms — Rebalanced as a Single-Target companions.
Crystalline Golem — Dazing Fist no longer repels bosses and other CC immune targets. Rebalanced as a Hybrid companion.
Fawn of Shallia / Snowy Fawn — Spring of Life now has a larger radius, is used much more frequently, and always appears near the summoner. Rebalanced as a Healer companion.
In the city of Menzoberranzan, the windows should now be properly adhered to the buildings. Several of the spawn types got fixes and some rebalances, including the Drider House Captains, which got a full balance pass and tweaks. According to the devs, this was an effort to keep things challenging but not too gated:
“Dev Note: While we were happy to see that these powerful enemies were a real threat requiring large groups and some coordination, we want to make sure everyone feels they can participate in the fight.”
Fixes in the patch were also applied to Driders in the “Incursion” encounter,Drow NPCs in that same encounter, and more. The Menzoberranzan store also got some fixes to fix a bug that prevented those that had completed the second
